Kindiki returns to Baringo, joins church service at Kabartonjo

Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has this Sunday, August 3, 2025, joined the faithful of the AIC Kabartonjo for the Sunday sermon and thanksgiving service in Baringo North.
The DP was accompanied by a delegation consisting of the area county commissioner, MPs Joseph Kipkoros Makilap of Baringo North, and his Baringo South counterpart, Joshua Chepyegon Kandie.
William Kassait Kamket of Tiaty and politician Musa Sirma were among other dignitaries at the event.
His visit comes a day after he was in the region for a community empowerment forum on Friday, August 1, 2025.
During his development tour in Baringo County, he called out opposition leaders for having no agenda for Kenyans, stating that President William Ruto would successfully achieve his reelection bid.
Ruto’s re-election
The DP also continued his warning to the opposition-allied politicians, cautioning them of remarks he made about looming political fireworks once Ruto enters the campaign trail for the 2027 race.
He first made the remarks in Njoro, Nakuru County, on Friday, August 1, 2025, while clarifying that the Kenya Kwanza regime has not yet started campaigning, adding that it would be a different scene when Ruto kicks off his re-election bid.

“Campaigns are not yet here. Ruto has not even started campaigning. He is yet to kickstart his bid for re-election. When he does, it will all be fireworks, and they will not believe it,” he stated.
The DP also defended the much-maligned empowerment drives, citing their significance in providing employment activities to disadvantaged people in society.
We are here to empower groups. I hear we have some people in Nairobi with loads of cash who don’t want us to give out this empowerment money. Should we stop this program of standing with wananchi and giving out money to expand business?” he asked.
Swipe at opposition
While taking a swipe at the opposition politicians, Kindiki challenged them to adopt a tangible agenda to base their campaigns on when they meet Kenyans. The DP stated that Kenya Kwanza stands vindicated with the numerous projects they have done as they seek to earn a second term from Kenyans.
“As the two-term team, we have the numerous works we have undertaken that will vindicate us. We have projects for roads, housing, and those for employment creation. It is what we have placed before Kenyans. We want those who campaign against us to also reveal theirs; they should leave the politics of incitement and tell us their agenda. They were once in leadership roles and should reveal what they did during their tenure,” he added.
