KPLC being the country’s main electricity distributor, supplies power to millions of homes and businesses. Its relationship with customers is often shaped by billing concerns, service reliability, and frequent power outages.

While planned blackouts support maintenance and upgrades, unexpected outages have at times strained public trust and customer satisfaction.

Despite criticism, KPLC remains central to Kenya’s economic activity, providing power essential for healthcare, education, industry, and everyday livelihoods across the country.
