Salvation Healing Ministry founder Pastor Victor Kanyari has explained why he enjoys receiving praise and admiration from ordinary Kenyans, saying people with little money are often more appreciative than the wealthy.

Speaking in a TikTok video on Thursday June 4, 2026, the televangelist reflected on his interactions with people from different economic backgrounds, arguing that those who are less privileged are usually more vocal when expressing gratitude and appreciation.

According to Kanyari, he often encounters people who are not well off financially but still take time to shower him with praise and compliments.

“And the people who are not well off often keep praising a person like me. And they say, ‘Oh wow, you are so rich and you have a lot of money.’ And I say yes, feeling so happy,” he said.

The pastor went on to explain that he finds such interactions uplifting because the individuals genuinely express their admiration without holding back.

Kanyari further claimed that people with less money tend to be more appreciative than wealthy individuals, especially when they receive assistance or support.

“And you know another good thing with people who do not have money, they will also make you happy. The rich will never heap praises on you, but the low-class people, just give them a little and they will keep singing your name,” he added.

The preacher suggested that acts of generosity often leave a lasting impression on people who are struggling financially, making them more likely to express gratitude publicly.

To illustrate his point, Kanyari noted that some of his supporters frequently praise him and even come up with additional nicknames whenever they refer to him.

“Like now they keep calling me Kanyari and accompanying it with other names,” he said.

Daughters hefty salary

Separately, the preacher revealed that his daughter, Sky Victor, earns up to Ksh500,000 per month through content creation.

Speaking during his Wednesday, May 27, 2026, midweek service, the self-styled televangelist openly praised his daughter’s creativity and business-minded approach online, describing her as a sharp Nairobi girl who has mastered how to attract audiences through digital content.

According to Kanyari, Sky Victor prefers keeping the earnings from her content creation in her own account despite his attempts to convince her to deposit part of the money into his account.

“She earns that per month. Imagine if it were you earning Ksh500,000 every month as she does. She always insists that the money has to go to her account. I often try to convince her to deposit some of the money into my account, but she says no, that it is her money,” the preacher said.

The preacher jokingly admitted that his daughter is extremely smart when it comes to creating relatable online content, particularly videos involving cooking and home activities.

Kanyari claimed that in some instances, he is actually the one who prepares meals such as ugali, but Sky later appears in the videos posing with the finished food in a way that makes audiences believe she cooked it herself.

“She is a very sharp girl. Most of the content she does involves things like cooking ugali, but she uses tricks because she poses with the cooked ugali, and people think she is the one who cooked it, yet I am actually the one who cooked it. She only comes later to create the content,” he added.
