Digital content creator cum comedian Sylvia Savai, widely known as Senjee Comedy, has shared the raw reality of living with endometriosis, opening up about the painful episodes, hospital visits and emotional toll of the condition.

Senjee, who has previously spoken publicly about her experience with endometriosis, said the condition goes beyond experiencing painful periods, describing the difficult moments she has had to endure during severe flare-ups.

“Endometriosis is more than just painful periods. It’s the endless hospital visits, the emergency trips, the days when the pain becomes so intense that all you can do is pray, breathe and hold on,” she said on Wednesday, September 16,2026.

The comedian also highlighted the importance of having a trusted support system, particularly during periods when the pain becomes overwhelming.

“Over time, you learn the importance of having a small circle of people you trust – people who won’t question your pain, judge you, or make you feel like a burden,” she said.

Senjee said such people offer practical and emotional support by accompanying those living with the condition to hospital and remaining by their side during difficult moments.

“People who will simply hold your hand, take you to the hospital, sit beside you and remind you, ‘You’re going to be okay.’ Sometimes that hand to hold is all you need to calm down when your body feels like it’s fighting against you,” she added.

Being optimistic

Despite the challenges associated with endometriosis, Senjee urged those living with the condition not to allow it to define who they are.

“And through it all, never lose yourself. Endometriosis may change your plans, steal some days from you and test you in ways you never imagined, but don’t let it steal the person you are,” she said.

She encouraged fellow endometriosis warriors to continue embracing life whenever possible despite the difficult days.

“Laugh when you can. Smile when you can. Love. Dream. Create. Pray. Keep showing up for yourself—even on the days when you’re hurting,” Senjee said.

The comedian further reminded people living with the condition that their diagnosis does not define their identity.

“You are more than your diagnosis. You are more than your pain. And even in the middle of the battle, you are still YOU,” she said.

Message to fellow warriors

Senjee also sent an encouraging message to other people battling endometriosis, acknowledging the silent struggles that often accompany the condition.

“To every endo warrior making another hospital visit, fighting another flare, or silently trying to make it through another painful day… I see you. Please keep going,” she said.

She concluded by expressing gratitude to the small circle of people who have supported her through some of her most difficult moments.

“And to my little circle who have held my hand through some of the hardest moments thank you. You know yourselves,” Senjee said.
