Roaming Chef Dennis Ombachi has paid media personality Natalie Githinji a visit on Friday, September 4, 2026, bringing her an assortment of soups as she continues her recovery from Stage 4 endometriosis.

Ombachi prepared several soups for Natalie, including a light vegetarian option made with tofu, mushrooms and miso, as well as richer soups featuring vegetables and goose.

The visit came on the same day Natalie was discharged from hospital following her complex endometriosis surgery.

Natalie shared an update with her followers on Friday, revealing that although her stitches had been removed, she was still dealing with significant fatigue, nausea, poor appetite and limited mobility.

During the visit, Ombachi took Natalie through the different soups he had prepared, explaining that some were designed to be lighter and more comforting.

One of the soups was vegetarian, containing tofu, mushrooms and miso.

“That’s our very light one. So it’s vegetarian, so light for the tummy,” Ombachi explained.

He also presented a richer soup made with butternut, onion, celery and leeks, together with goose.

“That one is rich, comforting, so with butternut and onion, celery, leeks and stuff,” he said.

Another soup contained lemongrass and Thai basil, with Ombachi explaining the ingredients as he presented the different options.

He also compared the meals to the food he used to prepare for his children.

“So basically each platter is what I used to give the kids. This is baby food, basically. This is what I used to make for them,” he said.

Natalie thanked Ombachi for the gesture as she sampled the different soups.

Natalie discharged after surgery

Ombachi’s visit came as Natalie returned home following a difficult hospital stay.

The media personality underwent surgery after years of dealing with endometriosis and later revealed that doctors had confirmed she had Stage 4 endometriosis.

She spent about three days in the ICU following the procedure before continuing her recovery in a hospital room.

On Friday, Natalie confirmed that she had been discharged, although she said she was still far from her usual self.

She revealed that her appetite remained at zero per cent, while her nausea and fatigue were both at about 80 per cent.

Natalie has also spoken about the difficulty of her recovery, including struggling with movement, sleep and energy as her body heals.

Friends rally around Natalie

Ombachi’s visit adds to the support Natalie has received from friends and fellow public figures during her health journey.

Earlier in her recovery, several entertainment personalities, including Toxic Lyrikali, Kapitani, 4Mr Frank White, Nana Owiti and Lastie, visited her and offered their support.

Comedian Eric Omondi and content creator I Am Kabugi had also previously visited Natalie during an earlier hospitalisation.
