Content creator and self-described forex trader Raymond Omosa, better known online as Kenyan Prince, has revealed that he smashed his iPhone 17 Pro Max after losing Ksh1.2 million in a single forex trade.

In an interview on a local tv station on Friday night, February 28, 2026, the flamboyant content creator said the loss of about $10,000( Ksh1.2 million) triggered a moment of anger that ended with the high-end device destroyed.

“I made a loss on a trade. I lost $10,000,” he said. “The phone is worth $1,000.”

He admitted he broke the phone out of frustration, describing the loss as part of the risks that come with currency trading.

Despite the setback, Kenyan Prince projected confidence about his financial position.

He said he owns four cars, with the latest acquisition being a BMW Z4. He downplayed it as a “small toy,” noting that his actual dream car is still being imported.

“When I went to my car dealer to import my dream car, I found him with a small toy. So I decided to get the toy for the meantime,” he said.

He maintained that financial swings are normal in forex trading and insisted the loss would not slow him down.

“It’s more money in regard to whatever I’m doing for a living,” he added.

From Streets To Spotlight

Beyond the cars and phones, Kenyan Prince painted a picture of a difficult past.

He said that after finishing high school in 2019, he struggled to survive in Nairobi. At one point, he claimed, he begged for money due to a lack of food.

“I went to the streets of Nairobi. I also begged money from people,” he said, adding that he has photos to prove it.

According to him, those hardships shaped his determination.

“When you have that goal, and you know the goal is to make money, you’re going to get it,” he said.

Kenyan Prince further downplayed the incident, insisting the smashed iPhone 17 Pro Max was a minor issue to him.

He made it clear that the destroyed device was just one of several high-end smartphones in his possession and not something he considers a major loss.

“It’s just a phone,” he implied during the exchange, brushing off the damage as insignificant compared to the scale of money he moves in trading.

During the interview, he displayed multiple smartphones, saying each device serves a specific role, from managing Instagram to handling other business operations.
