Social media personality Lillian Nganga has opened up about her views on friendships, revealing that she no longer maintains a wide social circle and prefers a more private and peaceful lifestyle.

Speaking candidly with media personality Alex Mwakideu on Saturday, June 6, 2026, Lillian said she now considers only her sisters and a very small number of people as close friends.

“My sisters are my friends, and probably one more person; that’s it,” Lillian disclosed.

She explained that over time, she has outgrown the need for a large circle of friends, adding that she no longer sees the necessity of maintaining close social groups.

“I outgrew having friends; I do not have friends, and I see no need to have friends,” she explained.

According to her, most of the people in her life now fall under the category of acquaintances rather than close companions she regularly spends time with.

“I know people, acquaintances here and there, but I would not say I have this circle of friends. Sijui, we do things hiyo nishamaliza,” she added.

She further noted that living without a large friendship circle has brought her peace and stability.

“And life is so peaceful if you do not have that circle of friends,” Lillian said.

Why she dislikes visitors

The podcaster further reiterated her stand on not allowing visitors into her home, saying her house is a safe space where she prefers privacy and minimal social interruptions.

“Your home should be your safe space. I do not like people coming to my house,” she emphasised.

She explained that she values cleanliness and personal comfort, saying she prefers not to have many visitors in her private space.

“You don’t have people sitting on your couch, pillow; you just want like this pillow ni mimi ndio nimetumia, me and my baby, just the two of us, and you can just lay your head because it is clean. Somebody has come and sat on the couch; it is too much,” she explained.

Lillian added that she rarely visits people’s homes, except for close family members such as her mother and sisters.

“I do not visit; I just probably go to my mum’s house my sisters’, and that’s it. I hardly visit people’s houses,” she said.
