Ida Odinga pens heartwarming Father’s Day message to Raila

Ida Odinga, the wife of Azimio la Umoja – One Kenya presidential candidate Raila Odinga has sent him a sweet Father’s Day message.

Taking to her social media, the mother of four posted a celebratory message to Raila describing him as an anchor.

“A father is the anchor upon which his children stand. Baba, may you always be the anchor upon which our children and the whole nation stands. When you speak may they hear the love in your voice. Happy Father’s Day Baba” she wrote.

The post was accompanied by two photos of Raila and his family.

The two have been married for 49 years and together sired four children; Fidel Odinga, Winnie Odinga, Rosemary Odinga and the late Fidel Odinga.

Raila met Ida when she was a student at the University of Nairobi. At the time, he was working as an employee of the university’s department of Engineering.
