From 72kg to 56.9kg: Shes Kemunto explains her dramatic weight loss
Social media influencer and personality Diana Kemunto has addressed growing online speculation surrounding her recent weight loss, clarifying that her transformation is part of a long-term personal fitness journey rather than anything related to recent events in her life.
Taking to her official Instagram account on Saturday, March 14, 2026, Kemunto revealed that her weight has dropped from 72 kilograms to 56.9 kilograms, prompting many followers to question the sudden change in her appearance.

However, the influencer urged fans to relax and avoid linking the transformation to rumours or past controversies.
Reasons behind weight loss
According to her, the weight loss journey actually began in June 2024, long before the speculation that has recently surfaced online.
Kemunto explained that she had been struggling with what she described as baby fat for several years and had always intended to work on her body and overall fitness.
“Guys, relax; the weight loss has nothing to do with the past. If y’all remember, I was on a weight loss from 2024 June?
“This was me struggling with baby fat in 2017 ata Kama ni wewe, hizi matiti zote nilikuwa napeleka wapi aki?“

The influencer has been trending for the better part of the week after she opened up about her short-lived relationship with a popular musician, Ian Okwemba Oure, widely known as Iyanii.
In a candid conversation with media personality Alex Mwakideu in an episode aired on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, Kemunto spoke about the emotional toll the relationship took on her.
“In my entire dating with Iyanii, I have never felt appreciated; sina kitu ya kuhold on to nisema this is Iyanii’s he left a mark of he loved me or we loved each other,” Kemunto stated.
She described feeling like she had to lead the relationship herself.
“I forgot about myself. My feminine side dropped the moment I entered this relationship; everything changed,” she added.
“I felt like I was the head in this relationship am guiding you on how to treat me.”
Despite hoping for a romantic, international-style relationship with the usual shared experiences, she admitted that Iyanii was barely trying, leaving her unfulfilled and emotionally drained.
“I wanted an international man and wanted to do things a couple does, but we weren’t doing that. Iyanii was barely trying,” she disclosed.
She further ruled out the possibility of them getting back together again.
“I gave him that, and he showed me you do not need to give me another chance,” Kemunto said.
Reflecting on the end of the relationship, Kemunto revealed the timeline and what contributed.
“What happened, my birthday was on January 1; on dates 2 and 3, I was with him, and after that is when I concluded enyewe hii imeisha, I did not do any statement, I went silent,” she explained
