Dem Wa Facebook explains how Nadia Mukami has inspired her journey as a young mother

Digital content creator Millicent Ayuwa Obayi, popularly known as Dem Wa Facebook, has opened up about how singer Nadia Mukami has become one of her biggest inspirations as she navigates motherhood and her career.
Speaking during an interview at the 10 Years of Nadia Experience concert held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, Dem Wa Facebook said watching Nadia balance motherhood and music has changed the way she views life after giving birth.
The comedian, who recently welcomed her first child, said Nadia’s journey has given her the confidence to believe that becoming a mother does not mean putting dreams and ambitions on hold.
Dem Wa Facebook says Nadia changed her perspective
While reflecting on Nadia’s career, Dem Wa Facebook praised the award-winning singer for returning to music after becoming a mother instead of stepping away from the industry.
She explained that before following Nadia’s journey, she believed women had to take a very long break from work after childbirth.
“As a young mother and a parent, what I admire about Nadia Mukami is that she gave birth and didn’t leave her talent or career. She went back to music,” Dem Wa Facebook said.

She added that Nadia’s determination has become a source of encouragement in her own life as she prepares to return to work.
‘She is giving me motivation’
The content creator said Nadia’s example has given her the confidence to continue pursuing her dreams while embracing motherhood.
According to Dem Wa Facebook, she had always believed that new mothers needed to stay away from work for close to a year before returning to their careers.
“So even though it’s inspiring me since I’ve recently given birth and taken a little break, Nadia Mukami is giving me the moral support and motivation,” she said.
“Back then I knew that when someone gives birth, they take one year of rest before going back to their career and talents. But I’ve come to learn that someone can give birth, rest for about a month, then go back to their activities and career,” she continued.
Nadia’s journey continues to inspire
Nadia Mukami has often spoken about balancing motherhood with her music career after welcoming her son, Kai. Since becoming a mother, the singer has continued releasing music, performing at concerts and appearing at major events while also raising her two children.
Her ability to manage both family and work has earned praise from many women, with several describing her as an example that motherhood and career growth can go hand in hand.
A celebration beyond music
Dem Wa Facebook was among the celebrities who attended Nadia’s anniversary concert, which celebrated the singer’s ten years in the music industry.

The event brought together fellow musicians, entertainers, public figures and fans who gathered to celebrate Nadia’s achievements and contribution to Kenyan music.
As she concluded her remarks, Dem Wa Facebook described Nadia as someone she deeply admires and hopes to emulate. “Nadia is my mentor, and I love her and admire her,” she said.
Her comments added another heartfelt moment to an event that celebrated not only Nadia Mukami’s music career but also the positive influence she continues to have on other women pursuing their dreams while raising families.
