Popular digital content creator and influencer Millicent Ayuwa, alias Dem Wa Facebook, has advised women to prepare themselves financially, mentally and spiritually before getting pregnant.

Speaking openly about motherhood and responsibility, the comedian said women should not rely entirely on their partners when planning to have children because life can change unexpectedly.

According to her, many relationships begin well, but situations can later change, leaving women struggling emotionally and financially.

“As a lady, before getting pregnant, be financially stable and be ready spiritually and mentally because anything can happen,” Dem wa Facebook said.

Dem Wa Facebook noted that some men may initially appear committed before later walking away from responsibilities, something she believes women should mentally prepare for.

Unaweza anza na mwanamume vizuri akuje aruke baadaye.  So as a lady ndio pia akili yako ikuwe sawa just be financially stable kuavoid struggles,” she added.

She encouraged women to ensure they are personally prepared before bringing children into the world in order to avoid unnecessary struggles later in life.

“Just be prepared as a lady, mtoto akikuja apate uko well prepared,” she advised.

Her financial preparedness

The comedian also opened up about her own journey after discovering she was pregnant, revealing that she already had personal savings in her bank account, adding that she then started preparing for her unborn children’s finances.

Mimi vile nilijua am pregnant, pesa ilikuwa kwa bank yangu hiyo ilikuwa yangu as me Dem wa Facebook, sahi naanza preparations Watoto wako already so apart from their father, mimi mwenyewe as a woman naweza raise hawa Watoto?” she revealed.

According to Dem Wa Facebook, one of the questions she asked herself was whether she would be capable of raising her children independently if anything happened in her relationship.

Nikasema hapa lazima nijipange mimi kama mwanamke najua baba yao atacontribute lakini incase anything happens babayao akatae Watoto wangu watakuwa sawa,” the comedian stated.

She further revealed that shortly after learning about her pregnancy, she began setting aside a percentage of her income specifically for her children’s future.

After one month nikaanza kuwapanga financially, kazi ninafanya nasema hi percentage inaenda kwa bank ya Watoto,” she explained.

Yeye pia anatoa lakini as a woman mimi mwenyewe nitawezana na Watoto ama nitakuja nikuwe mzigo mahali? So nikakuja na nikaanza kuji prepare.”

While acknowledging that her partner also supports the children financially, the comedian insisted every woman should still ask herself whether she can stand on her own without becoming dependent on others.
