Comedian and content creator Mulamwah has opened up about how he is perceived online, revealing that many people mistakenly see him as a monster or a bad person.

Speaking in an Instagram Q&A session on Friday, September 12, 2025, after a fan asked him whether he had something he wished to change about himself, Mulamwah explained that much of how he is seen on social media does not reflect his true nature.

He said that people often misinterpret his protective instincts and loyalty to loved ones as aggression.

“If you were to change anything in your life, what would that be,” a fan asked Mulamwah.

“How people perceive me, especially online, many see me as a monster or a bad person, but I am not,” Mulamwah said.

He shared that, like everyone, he believes people have dual sides, both angelic and fierce, which can emerge depending on the circumstances.

Mulamwah emphasised that his responses, particularly when defending family or close friends, are rooted in natural instincts rather than malice, and that those who know him personally would describe him very differently from the online narrative.

“Everyone is a demon and an angel too; it depends on which part is activated. For example, if someone attacks your mom or a loved one and you are nearby with the tools, trust me, you will not know how you will end up dealing with that person properly; it’s in nature,” he added.

Mulamwah also highlighted his territorial nature, explaining that he goes to great lengths to safeguard his personal space and protect those around him.

He believes that this protective attitude is necessary to prevent harm or suffering for others, and that it often shapes how people perceive him from a distance.

“I am the coolest person ever, those close to me will tell you. I am just so territorial and go to all lengths to protect my space like anyone else would. Because if I don’t, a lot of people suffer,” he said.

Mulamwah’s shows

In the same Q&A session, Mulamwah also addressed questions about his podcast, Monopod, and stand-up show, Let Me Explain.

He confirmed that the show will be back and that new episodes will soon be posted online, with his team working on the rollout.

He shared that the previous event was an incredible experience, full of energy and excitement, but also expressed mixed emotions as some attendees missed out on seating.

“Monopod will be back, my stand-up show “, let me explain”, tunapost online soon, my team is working on it. The good news is that it was so amazing, thanks to everyone who came, event ilijaa adi nje … I mixed feelings (I was so happy ilijaa but sad ati kuna watu walikosa place ya kukaaa).”

Mulamwah hinted that the show could potentially be his last, reflecting on how it was once a platform to nurture upcoming talent, though he has recently felt increasingly detached from many of his projects.

“Bad news is that it could be my last one ever done, it could have been a home to raise lots of talents, but of late been really detaching from almost everything… we hope for the best tho,” he added.
