Businessman who promised to build house for Kaluma Boy’s family shows off near-complete progress

The house promised to Kaluma Boy’s family by philanthropist and businessman Mofarm JM is rapidly taking shape, with the project now standing at the roofing stage.
Roofing timber has already been set, and the structure, a full stone house, is nearing completion on the parcel of land that Mofarm pledged to gift the young TikToker’s family.
In an update shared on the evening of Saturday, November 29, 2025, Mofarm appealed to individuals and companies who had earlier pledged to support the finishing stages of the project to honour their commitments.
He reiterated that once donors deliver the pledged materials, such as iron sheets, tiles, doors, cabros, and plumbing fixtures, the remaining stages will move swiftly.
“Kaluma Boy project. The people who promised to give out iron sheets, gypsum, tiles, cabros, doors and frames, gate, plumbing materials, please deliver so the project can go on easily,” he wrote.
According to Mofarm, the swift progress has been made possible by TikTokers and well-wishers who united to support Kaluma Boy after his emotional plea for help while caring for his bedridden father went viral.
He also expressed his sincere appreciation to Jesus Compassion Ministries’ head preacher, Bishop Ben Kiengei, for fulfilling his promise to support Kaluma Boys’ family and for standing with them throughout the difficult period as his father continues to recover.
“Thank you, TikTokers, and Bishop Ben. The project is almost done,” he wrote.

A promise made
The construction of the house is part of a larger wave of support that began after Kaluma Boy shared emotional videos showing his daily struggle while caring for his father, who has been bedridden following a serious stroke.
His story moved thousands of Kenyans, especially young people on TikTok, who responded with generosity during the fundraiser held in Othaya on September 28, 2025.
Among the many contributors were well-known content creators such as Rachael Otuoma, YBK, Sparky Kenya, Junior Wa Hii Styles and Kenyan Prince.

Their contributions ranged from Ksh10,000 to Ksh50,000, while others donated food, furniture and essential home items.
However, the largest contribution came from Mofarm JM, who gave Ksh300,000 and also appointed Kaluma Boy as a brand ambassador for his company.
Beyond the financial assistance, he promised to build a stone house for the family, a promise that is now almost fully realised.
