Nurse Judy reveals the reality of navigating life in America without her husband

Nurse Judy has opened up about navigating life in America without her husband, saying the experience has humbled her in many ways.
On Tuesday, September 8, 2026, she explained that she has always depended on her husband and her late mother, making her current situation a difficult adjustment.
Judy said her experience this time is different from the last time she moved her belongings to storage. She explained that she was separated and dating at the time, meaning she had “my man” to support her through the situation.
“America has humbled me in so many ways, esp me, a baby who has always been dependent on my hubby and my late mom,” Nurse Judy said.
She explained that her current circumstances are different because she is now married, but her husband is living on another continent. Judy said this has left her feeling like she is “low key single” while in America.

“The last time I moved my stuff to storage, I was separated and dating, so of course I had ‘my man’ to support me,” Nurse Judy said.
Navigating life without her usual support
Judy said she would normally count on her husband for support, but his distance has changed how she handles things. She explained that although she is married, being away from her spouse means she has to deal with her current situation without him physically around.
“Now this time I’m married, but my spouse is continents away, making me low-key single in America, eh, ni mbaya,” Nurse Judy said.

She also explained that her best friend, who she knows would genuinely come through for her in different situations, is currently unavailable. Judy said her friend is working on a private concierge case at the moment.
“My best friend, who I know would genuinely always come through for me in all situations, is currently on a private concierge case,” Nurse Judy said.
With both her husband and best friend unavailable to offer the support she would normally rely on, Judy said she has found herself handling the situation on her own. She described the experience as a new reality that has forced her to deal with things without her usual support system.
“Sasa ni mimi napambana tu na hali yangu,” Nurse Judy said.
