Bananas Overdose FGM Campaign
Having been in the industry for a while now, the female singer has been at the forefront educating women from the Somali community on FGM.
This is because due to lack of information, her mum was forced to have both her and her sister cut at a young age.
According to Bananas Overdose, many young women continue to suffer at the hands of their female relatives forcing traditions like FGM on them.
However having been given a larger platform, the singer said her mission is to reach out to as many Somali women as possible to help end Female genital mutilation.
