Kaluma Boy sends warm message to Kenyans for standing with him

TikToker Vincent Kaluma, alias Kaluma Boy, has expressed deep gratitude to Kenyans who came out in large numbers to support him during his father’s fundraiser on Sunday, September 28, 2025, saying the overwhelming show of love and solidarity was beyond anything he had ever imagined.
Speaking to a local TV station on Monday, September 29, 2025, Kaluma noted that his family was humbled by the donations and presence of well-wishers, adding that the unity Kenyans displayed was nothing short of a miracle.
“I want to say thank you to all Kenyans for supporting me. I am grateful to everyone, and on behalf of my family, we are very thankful and blessed. To be honest, I never expected so many people to come and support me. This is the work of God; He made people love and help me. It is His grace,” Kaluma said.
He explained that his intention when he first shared videos of his ailing father back in July was simply to show the reality of his life at home with a sick parent, not to seek charity.
According to him, it was Kenyans themselves who encouraged him to continue posting updates, with many suggesting that online well-wishers would notice and extend their help.
He decided to follow that advice, and from there, the response took a turn he described as entirely driven by God’s grace.
“The first time I posted videos of my father while he was sick was back in July. I posted them to show Kenyans what my life is like with a sick father, not to ask for charity. But people started commenting, encouraging me to make more videos of my dad, saying that well-wishers online would see and come to help,” he added.

Kaluma said that he never expected such a huge turnout and support, but he was glad that the contributions would now go a long way in assisting his father’s treatment and well-being.
He emphasised that everything received will be channelled towards improving his father’s situation.
“That motivated me to continue posting, and I am happy with how everything has turned out.”
He further urged young people never to abandon their parents when they fall into difficulties, noting that supporting them in times of need is not only a moral responsibility but also a source of blessings that can transform one’s own life.
The young man added that this experience has motivated him to work even harder to change his family’s situation, while remaining grateful to all Kenyans who stood by him in his moment of struggle.
“I am willing to work to change my family’s situation. All the donations will help my father and support him. I want to tell people never to abandon their parents when they are in situations like my father’s. Support them, and you will receive blessings, and your own life will change,” Kaluma said.
