Preparing your lashes properly prevents unnecessary stress on the natural hair line. Start by curling your natural lashes and applying a light coat of mascara.
Next, measure the false lash strip against your eyelid and trim any excess from the outer corner using small scissors. A band that is too long will lift at the ends and pull at delicate inner eye skin.
Choosing a quality, latex-free lash glue is critical for eye safety. Apply a thin, even layer of adhesive along the lash band and wait 30 seconds for it to become tacky. Never apply glue directly to your eyelid or your natural lash hairs.
Placing adhesive incorrectly carries genuine health risks. Peer-reviewed research highlights that lash adhesives “have been implicated multiple times in producing mild to severe contact dermatitis” when coming into direct contact with eyelid skin.
