Wanjiku Wa Kairu says Maribel always dreamed big despite bipolar struggles

Content creator and actress Wanjiku Wa Kairu has paid an emotional tribute to the late Maribel Irungu, describing her as a determined young woman who maintained big dreams despite facing personal struggles.
In a heartfelt message shared on Facebook on Sunday, May 17, 2026, Wanjiku reflected on the late Maribel’s life, noting that while many people may have only seen her controversial or maniac side during livestreams, there was a deeper and softer personality behind the camera.
“Good Morning, most of you know the maniac side of Maribel, where she could come on live and say anything on camera as she was sick,” she wrote.
She said Maribel was a dedicated individual with ambitions and goals, adding that she remained hopeful and focused on building a better future even during difficult moments in her life.
Wanjiku further recalled that Maribel had a close and loving relationship with her family, particularly her father and sister, often seeking advice and maintaining strong family bonds.
“Am glad I also experienced her other side. A girl who was soft, dedicated with great dreams,” she shared.

She also described Maribel as a compassionate person who had a special love for children and vulnerable members of society, saying she would always go out of her way to help where she could.
According to Wanjiku, Maribel shared a strong bond with her sister, which she described as unusually close and admirable, even during times when they worked together or appeared in public settings.
“Who would call her Dad and ask for advice, who came on set with her sister, the first time I had to call after set and ask her, are you sure she is your real sister au ni mtu mlipatana tu huku online, as they had an amazing bond,” she added.
She added that Maribel’s life and journey reflected both challenges and resilience, noting that despite the struggles she faced, she continued to express herself boldly and pursue her aspirations.
“Maribel had a weakness for kids and vulnerable people; she would give her all. She was an amazing superwoman. Say Her name, Immac Irungu (Maribel). To support the family during this time, send support to Till 7567621. Leah Wangui Irungu, the sister,” she wrote.
