Wanjiku Wa Kairu reveals details of her final conversation with Maribel before her death

Kikuyu content creator Wanjiku Wa Kairu has come out to share emotional and detailed revelations about her final conversation with late TikTok creator Maribel, following ongoing public discussions surrounding their relationship before her tragic passing.

Speaking in a TikTok video on Friday, May 15, 2026, Wanjiku addressed claims circulating online suggesting that she had mistreated Maribel while she was alive, insisting that the allegations were false and unfair.

She noted that she had seen posts online where her name and brand were being tarnished, with some individuals accusing her of treating Maribel badly during her lifetime.

“I have seen my brand being tarnished online, and there is a lady I have seen saying how badly I treated Maribel when she was alive,” she said.

According to Wanjiru, she had previously received warnings from online users during her TikTok live sessions who predicted that Maribel would eventually turn against her, insult her, or expose her publicly. However, she maintained that none of those predictions ever came true.

“You guys are the same people who used to come to my TikTok lives saying that I have supported Maribel a lot, but I should wait and see how she will turn against me, hurl shade, and expose me online,” she added.

Maribel’s apology

Wanjiku further revealed that the last message she received from Maribel before her death was an apology, describing it as a deeply personal and emotional exchange that she had initially chosen not to make public.

She stated that she had kept the message private out of respect, but hinted that she may eventually share it to clarify the nature of their relationship.

“But woe unto you, Maribel never did that, and the reason why I do not talk anything ill about Maribel even now is because the last message she sent me was an apology message about how she treated me. I did not want to post it, but I will post it later,” she said.

The creator also explained that part of the misunderstanding surrounding her relationship with Maribel stemmed from moments when she tried to advise her friend to take prescribed medication after noticing she had stopped.

Wanjiku said she was only acting out of concern, insisting that her intentions were misunderstood and later used against her online.

“But now I wonder if some people come online to yap and say that I was bad to Maribel. You see, the reason they feel that is that there was a time I knew she had stopped taking her manic bipolar medication, and I was tough on her and told her to take the medication,” Wanjiku explained.

She defended herself against accusations of mistreatment, saying it was unfair for people to judge her without knowing the full context of their friendship and private interactions.

“So now somebody has the audacity to claim I mistreated Maribel,” she said.
