Visually impaired gospel singer Denno has shared details of an unexpected act of kindness that left him emotional ahead of his birthday, revealing that he never imagined The Deno Effect would reach the places it has.
In a Facebook post shared on Friday, July 17, 2026, the celebrated gospel singer reflected on the journey of The Deno Effect, saying many people have misunderstood what it truly represents.
According to Denno, many assume the movement is simply about the content he shares online, but he explained that its real impact is found in the unexpected moments that happen behind the scenes.
“You know what’s funny? Everyone thinks The Deno Effect is all about what I post. It’s not. It’s about the moments nobody expects… until they happen,” he wrote.
The singer went on to reveal that he had recently experienced one such moment after the chief executive of a furniture store honoured him ahead of his birthday, a gesture he admitted caught him completely off guard.
“This video captures one of those moments. No planning. No pressure. Just genuine kindness that caught me completely off guard,” Denno shared.
Denno disclosed that although he was not yet ready to reveal everything that happened, he had recorded the emotional moment and promised to release the full video soon.
He expressed confidence that those who watch it would appreciate the touching gesture just as much as he did.
“Watch until the end… I have a feeling you’ll smile the same way I did,” the singer added.
The gospel singer further admitted that he never expected The Deno Effect to grow to such a level, saying the latest experience had shown him that its influence was extending far beyond what he had imagined.
“I honestly never imagined that The Deno Effect would reach some of the places it’s reaching now. But today… it did,” he wrote.
Denno, who will celebrate his birthday on Tuesday, July 21, also hinted that the surprise may only be the beginning, teasing his followers that there could be even more memorable moments before August 1.
“Something tells me… this won’t be the last surprise before 1st August,” Denno shared.
He added that the latest experience had left him wondering where The Deno Effect would appear next, saying he would not even attempt to predict what was still to come.
“Now I’m beginning to wonder where The Deno Effect will pop up next. After all, we’ve still got the journey all the way to 1st August… and if this is how it’s going, I wouldn’t dare guess what’s coming next,” he added.
Denno also informed his followers that once he publishes the full video, he will share more details about the business that honoured him for those who may be interested.
