Pastor Kanyari wonders whether Andrew Kibe is handsome after labelling Stevo Simple Boy ugly

Salvation Healing Ministry founder Pastor Victor Kanyari has joined the growing list of public figures criticising Andrew Kibe over his controversial remarks about Stevo Simple Boy, questioning what gave Kibe the confidence to publicly ridicule another man’s appearance.

Speaking during his Sunday, June 28, 2026, service, Kanyari expressed disappointment over Kibe’s comments, saying he could not understand why anyone would feel comfortable insulting another person’s physical appearance.

According to the televangelist, he was particularly disturbed after hearing Kibe describe Stevo Simple Boy as ugly.

“And I am wondering a lot because of a man called Andrew Kibe. He has the guts to go on social media and hurl insults at Stevo Simple Boy. And I heard Kibe saying Stevo is ugly,” Kanyari said.

Kanyari questioned how Kibe could confidently make such remarks while also suggesting that Stevo did not deserve to become a father.

“How can you say someone is ugly with confidence and even say that he does not deserve to sire children or even have a child?” he asked.

The preacher further claimed that Kibe’s comments became even more disturbing after he suggested that people he considered ugly should not exist in society.

“And to make it worse, Kibe even said that such people should be killed in Kenya because they are ugly,” Kanyari claimed.

Reacting to those remarks, Kanyari turned the criticism back on the former radio presenter, openly questioning whether Kibe considered himself handsome.

According to the televangelist, Kibe had no moral authority to judge another person’s appearance.

“First, who lied to Kibe that he is handsome?” Kanyari posed.

His remarks come days after Andrew Kibe sparked widespread debate during an appearance on Dr Ofweneke’s Lessons at 30 podcast.

During the interview, Kibe argued that people like Stevo Simple Boy should not have children, saying, “We can’t have people like Stevo Simple Boy having children. We can’t have people breed.”

He also suggested that Stevo should have undergone a vasectomy at birth, remarks that attracted sharp criticism from many Kenyans.

Kanyari now joins a growing list of public figures who have publicly defended Stevo Simple Boy.

Among them is dancer and choreographer Tileh Pacbro, who recently condemned Kibe’s remarks, describing Stevo as a great father and warning that insensitive comments directed at fellow men could have serious consequences for men’s mental health.
