Passaris urges WaJesus to adopt baby after Milly reveals Kabi does not want another child

Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris has encouraged celebrity couple Milly and Kabi WaJesus to consider adoption after the couple opened up about their differing views on having more children.
The conversation unfolded on Saturday, September 5, 2026, during the opening of the couple’s new business in Nairobi’s Central Business District, where Passaris engaged the WaJesus family on their plans for expanding their household.
The couple, who have three children together, revealed that they have been unable to agree on whether to have another baby, with Milly expressing a strong desire to grow their family while Kabi maintained that the children they already have are enough.
Passaris appeared intrigued by the couple’s contrasting positions and asked them directly whether they wanted to have more children.
“Do you guys want to have other babies?” Passaris asked.
Milly quickly made her position clear, interrupting to reveal that she not only wanted another child but also hoped to eventually have five children with Kabi.
“Yes, we want. Yes, I want, and I want you to even tell him to stop saying no. I want us to get to five children,” Milly said.
Her remarks brought into focus the differing positions within the couple, with Milly appearing eager to continue expanding their family while Kabi has taken a more cautious position on having additional children.
Kabi admitted that his wife’s desire for more children is not one he currently shares.
“My wife wants it, but I do not want. I feel like the ones we have are enough,” Kabi said.
Milly, however, remained determined to see their family grow, saying she would be satisfied if they eventually reached five children before bringing their plans to an end.
“If we get to five children, I will be okay and we will stop,” she said.
The exchange prompted Passaris to introduce another possibility, suggesting that the couple could consider adoption as they think about how to achieve their desire for a larger family.
Passaris revealed that adoption was already part of her own family experience, saying she had adopted a child and suggesting that Milly could similarly consider bringing another child into the family through adoption.
“But we can also adopt children because I have also adopted one child. And you, Milly, can also adopt,” Passaris said.
The suggestion appeared to resonate with Milly, who revealed that she had also considered adoption as part of the couple’s long-term plan for raising a much larger family.
Milly said she could see herself adopting one child but acknowledged that she would have to push herself to go through with the idea, explaining that the couple had previously envisioned a much bigger family than the five children she was currently proposing.
“And I feel like yes, I may adopt one, but the other one I will then push myself. Actually, what we wanted was that I push, we get to five, and then I adopt another, and then we get to 12 children. That was the plan,” Milly said.
Her revelation offered a glimpse into just how ambitious the couple’s earlier family plans had been, with Milly disclosing that their vision had at one point extended far beyond the five children she was now proposing.
Kabi appeared amused by his wife’s determination, pointing out that Milly was the one pushing for the family to keep growing.
“You see she wants to push,” Kabi said.
