Gachagua, wife serve couple goals with US morning walk days after going on a boat ride

Former Deputy President and Democratic Citizens Party (DCP) leader Rigathi Gachagua has stepped out for a morning workout with his wife, Pastor Dorcas Rigathi, in Spokane, Washington, days after the couple enjoyed a leisurely speedboat ride in Seattle.
The couple appeared relaxed and in high spirits as they took their morning exercise together, with both clad in fitness attire as they jogged along marked sections of the road.
In pictures shared on his Facebook page on Saturday, September 5, 2026, the two appeared comfortable in each other’s company as they made their way along the designated sections of the road.
While sharing the photos, Gachagua described the outing as a healthy morning walk with his wife, revealing that the exercise was also an opportunity for the couple to prepare themselves mentally and spiritually for the day ahead.
“A healthy morning walk with my spouse, Rev. Dorcas Rigathi, here in Spokane, Washington,” Gachagua wrote.
He went on to explain that the morning routine was about more than simply exercising, saying the couple used the time together to align their minds and souls before embarking on what he described as a busy day ahead.
“We align our minds and soul ahead of a busy day ahead,” he added.

Gachagua also used the post to extend greetings to Kenyans, ending his message with a brief salutation to his followers back home.
“Greetings, my dear Kenyans,” he wrote.
Boat ride
The morning walk also comes only days after the couple were captured enjoying another leisurely outing together, this time on a speedboat in Seattle, Washington.
On Monday, August 31, 2026, footage emerged showing Gachagua and Pastor Dorcas seated at the back of a speedboat as it moved through the open waters in Seattle.
The two appeared relaxed during the boat ride, with the former Deputy President and his wife enjoying the excursion as they took a break from the political activities associated with their wider US tour.
The boat outing quickly attracted attention online, with photographs and footage of the couple enjoying the ride circulating widely among Kenyan social media users.
Gachagua and Pastor Dorcas arrived in the United States through Seattle-Tacoma International Airport as part of the wider tour, which is expected to take them to several states for town halls, church services, dinner events and other meetings with Kenyans living in the diaspora.
The former Deputy President is scheduled to move his engagements to other parts of the US from September 4 to September 10, before proceeding to Portland, Oregon, where he is expected to continue his diaspora tour from September 10 to September 16.
