Kenyan rapper Stevo Simple Boy has responded to comments made by content creator Andrew Kibe, who recently argued that people like him should not have children.

Stevo addressed the matter through his Instagram page on Friday, June 26, 2026, where he defended his family and criticised the inclusion of his child in the discussion.

The rapper said disagreements should remain between adults and that children should never be targeted because of their parents or physical appearance.

Stevo speaks out

In his statement, Stevo expressed disappointment over the remarks and urged Kibe to focus on him instead of involving an innocent child.

According to the rapper, he has never had control over how he was born but has always worked hard to build a respectable life and provide for his family. “Andrew Kibe, if you have a problem with me, talk about me. But do not involve my child, who has done nothing wrong,” Stevo wrote.

He went on to stress that every child deserves respect and should ne er be looked down upon because of their appearance or the circumstances surrounding their birth. “I never chose how I was born, but I chose to be a respectful person, work hard and build my family. All children are a blessing, and no child deserves to be looked down upon because of their appearance or parents,” he said.

Remarks that sparked the response

Stevo’s statement came shortly after Kibe made comments suggesting that people like the rapper should not have children. According to Kibe, individuals in similar situations should live without having what he described as weaknesses, implying that they should avoid becoming parents.

The remarks quickly attracted attention online, with some social media users criticising the comments and arguing that children should not be brought into personal opinions about public figures. Others defended Stevo, pointing out that parenthood is a personal decision and that children should be treated with dignity regardless of their background.

Choosing to move forward

Despite the criticism directed at him, Stevo maintained a calm tone in his response and indicated that he would not dwell on the issue. Instead, the musician said he would continue focusing on his life, family and career while leaving judgement to God.

“I will continue moving forward. God is the judge of everyone,” he concluded.

The exchange has since generated discussion across social media platforms, with many users weighing in on the importance of respecting children and keeping family members out of public disputes. For Stevo, however, the message was clear: while criticism may come and go, children should never become the target of personal attacks.
