75 countries you can travel to with a Kenyan passport without pre-travel visa

Kenyan passport holders can access 75 destinations without obtaining a traditional visa before departure, according to the latest Passport Reports ranking published on Thursday, September 17, 2026.

The ranking places the Kenyan passport 120th out of 199 passports globally, with a mobility score of 75. The score combines 37 visa-free destinations, 33 destinations offering visa-on-arrival or facilitated entry, and five destinations requiring an electronic travel authorisation (eTA).

African destinations lead the List

A significant share of the destinations accessible to Kenyan passport holders without a traditional pre-travel visa are in Africa, reflecting Kenya’s regional travel arrangements and growing movement across the continent.

Among the visa-free African destinations are Benin, Botswana, Burundi, Eritrea, Eswatini, Ethiopia, The Gambia, Lesotho, Malawi, Mauritius, Namibia, Rwanda, South Africa, South Sudan, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Kenyan travellers can also access several other African countries through visa-on-arrival or facilitated-entry arrangements.

These include Cape Verde, Comoros, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritania, Mozambique, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Sudan.

Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana are among the African destinations listed under the eTA category, meaning travellers generally need to obtain electronic authorisation before departure.

Visa-free destinations outside Africa

Beyond the continent, Kenyan passport holders have visa-free access to destinations across the Caribbean, Asia and the Pacific.

In the Caribbean, the visa-free destinations include Antigua and Barbuda, the Bahamas, Barbados, Cuba, Dominica, Grenada, Haiti, Jamaica, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and Trinidad and Tobago.

In Asia, the list includes Hong Kong, Malaysia, the Philippines and Singapore, while Fiji, Kiribati, Micronesia and Vanuatu are among the Pacific destinations offering visa-free access.

More destinations offer Visa on arrival

Kenyan travellers also have access to a number of destinations where permission can be obtained on arrival or through another facilitated arrangement.

These include Bolivia, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Jordan, Macao, Maldives, Nepal, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Russia, Saint Lucia, Samoa, Timor-Leste, Tuvalu and Vietnam.

Depending on the destination, travellers may be required to pay a fee, complete an immigration form, provide proof of accommodation or onward travel, or meet other entry conditions.

Five destinations require an eTA

The remaining five destinations in the 75-destination figure are Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Seychelles and Sri Lanka, which are listed under electronic travel authorisation arrangements.

An eTA should not be confused with visa-free travel because the traveller normally has to complete an online authorisation process before travelling.
