Singer Nadia Mukami has explained why her husband, musician Arrow Bwoy, decided to smash a raw egg on Ugandan socialite Shakib Cham during their dramatic face-off ahead of the Vurugu 2 celebrity boxing match, saying the move was part of the competitive nature of the game.

The confrontation happened during the official face-off ceremony for the much-anticipated boxing clash on Friday, June 19, 2026, where emotions between the two fighters boiled over before they eventually met inside the ring.

As Arrow Bwoy and Shakib stood face-to-face, Arrow Bwoy pulled out a raw egg and smashed it directly onto Shakib, triggering a tense moment that forced security personnel and promoters to quickly step in and separate the two camps.

The incident sparked mixed reactions online, with some people criticising Arrow Bwoy’s action and questioning whether the move was appropriate.

However, speaking with YouTuber Jackie Ogaga on the night of Saturday, June 20, 2026, the ‘Radio Love’ hitmaker came to her husband’s defence, saying people should understand that competitions come with different strategies and that participants will always look for ways to gain an advantage.

Speaking about the criticism surrounding the egg incident, Nadia said she believed people should not take such moments personally because they were part of the game.

“About that thing and people not liking how he cracked a raw egg on Shakib, I would say people are different, and game is game,” Nadia said.

The singer explained that when people enter a competition, they often use different approaches as they try to secure victory.

She said participants should be free to use whatever strategies they believe can help them win, adding that emotions should not be mixed with competitive battles.

“So in a game you bring whatever you can to win,” she said.

Nadia went on to compare competition to a battle where people come prepared with different tactics, saying opponents should understand that everyone approaches games differently.

“If we are fighting with you, you may decide to bring stuff like a gun or an axe and things like that,” she said.

She insisted that the focus should remain on competition rather than personal feelings.

“Game is game, so people should not bring feelings into this,” Nadia added.

The singer further maintained that competitors should use every available opportunity within the rules of the contest to try to emerge victorious.

“So whatever you may use to win, use and do it,” she said.

The comments came as Arrow Bwoy’s and Shakib’s fight remained one of the most talked-about moments of Vurugu 2 even before the first bell.

The two entertainers eventually settled their differences inside the ring at the Sarit Expo Centre in Westlands, Nairobi, where Shakib emerged victorious after defeating Arrow Bwoy by technical knockout.

The Ugandan fighter dominated the contest and forced the stoppage, leaving Arrow Bwoy with a defeat despite the huge anticipation surrounding their celebrity showdown.

Arrow Bwoy’s wife, Nadia Mukami, was present ringside to support him during the fight and was later seen reacting sadly after the outcome.
