Kenyan musicians Nadia Mukami and Arrow Bwoy have marked their son Ameer Kiyan’s first birthday with a joint message celebrating his first year, while also giving fans a glimpse of his face for the first time.
The former couple shared a series of photos of Kiyan on their respective social media pages on Sunday, August 9, 2026, as they celebrated the milestone.
The birthday celebration comes despite the two musicians having gone their separate ways, with their message showing a shared focus on their son as they continue co-parenting.
A special first birthday
To mark Kiyan’s first birthday, Nadia and Arrow Bwoy shared a heartfelt message reflecting on the changes that came with welcoming their son.
The message described the past year as a period filled with ordinary moments that have become treasured memories, from sleepless nights to his smiles and laughter.
“Happy birthday to our not-so-little prince, Ameer Kiyan. One whole year of you! One year of tiny smiles, little giggles, cuddles, sleepless nights, beautiful memories, and a love we never knew could be this deep,” they wrote.

The couple also reflected on watching their son grow from a newborn into a one-year-old, describing the experience as one of their greatest blessings.
Nadia and Arrow Bwoy’s co-parenting journey
The birthday comes at a time when Nadia and Arrow Bwoy are no longer together, making their decision to publicly celebrate their son together notable. Rather than focusing on their past relationship, the message centred on Kiyan and the love they share for him.
They prayed that their son would grow up surrounded by love and remain confident in himself as he gets older. “Our prayer is that you grow up surrounded by love, protected by God, confident in who you are, and courageous enough to chase every dream placed in your heart,” they added.
Their message also assured Kiyan that both parents would remain present as he grows, promising to support and celebrate him through different stages of his life.
How Kiyan came into their lives
Nadia and Arrow Bwoy announced the arrival of their second son in August 2025. Kiyan was born on August 9, 2025, with Nadia sharing the news through an Instagram post accompanied by a photo from the hospital.
“On August 9, 2025, we welcomed our second son, Ameer Kiyan, to the world. Our perfect prince and a gift from God,” Nadia announced at the time.
The arrival of Kiyan came two years after the couple welcomed their first son, Kai.
Nadia has previously spoken about motherhood and how having children has also coincided with new opportunities in her career. She credited her firstborn with opening doors to ambassadorial partnerships, describing him as a child who “came with a big plate”.
A new chapter for the family
The series of photos also marked a change from keeping much of Kiyan’s appearance away from the public eye.
As the little boy begins his second year, the message from both parents remained centred on one thing: making sure he grows up knowing that he is loved.
“You are our joy. You are our blessing,” they concluded.
