Caroline Mutoko speaks on the responsibility that comes with owning a Mercedes

Caroline Mutoko has urged Mercedes-Benz owners to pay closer attention to their vehicles, arguing that owning a luxury car comes with the responsibility of maintaining it.
In a post shared on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, Mutoko encouraged Mercedes owners not to ignore unusual signs from their vehicles or wait until a minor issue develops into a major problem.
‘Your Mercedes knows when something’s off… and sometimes, so do you,’ she wrote, advising owners not to guess when something feels wrong.
She recommended taking the vehicle to an official Mercedes-Benz dealership for a proper diagnostic check and expert inspection, likening the process to a wellness check for the car.
Mutoko says Mercedes needs attention
In a video accompanying her message, Mutoko explained that Mercedes vehicles can sometimes be particularly demanding when it comes to maintenance.
“I love Mercedes. I take you for that. However, there is nothing as finicky and as, oh my goodness, what is going on, like a Mercedes,” she said.
Mutoko went on to humorously compare regular servicing to taking the vehicle to a spa, saying it occasionally needs to be given special attention.
‘Once in a while, it needs to go to the spa,’ she said, before urging owners to listen to their cars when something appears unusual.
She specifically pointed to situations where a driver notices a dashboard warning light or becomes concerned about something they cannot explain.
‘It’s not about buying it’
Mutoko also stressed that purchasing a Mercedes should not be viewed as the end of the ownership journey, highlighting maintenance as an important part of keeping the vehicle in good condition.
‘The worst thing you can do is have that car and you don’t show it the love and attention it needs,’ she said.
She further challenged owners to understand that luxury vehicles require ongoing care, adding, ‘It’s not about buying it. Anyone can buy it. You maintain it.’
Mutoko encouraged Mercedes owners to have their vehicles checked at the dealership and find out whether everything is functioning as it should.
Her message echoed the written post, where she urged drivers to book a diagnostic service and ‘drive away with peace of mind.’
