Millie Bobby Brown and Jake celebrate 2nd anniversary after adopting second child

Stranger Things actress Millie Bobby Brown has marked her second wedding anniversary with husband Jake Bongiovi, days after the couple announced the arrival of their second child.
Brown, 22, shared a message for Bongiovi, 24, on Instagram on September 21, celebrating two years of marriage and reflecting on how their relationship has changed her life.
“Two years married. Oh, how you have changed my life, J. I love, love, love you!” Brown wrote.
She added a message about the couple continuing to follow their own path as they build their family together. “Here’s to always marching to the beat of our own drum,” she added.
Brown shares wedding memories
Alongside the anniversary message, Brown shared a photo of herself and Bongiovi from behind as they held their daughter. She also posted a video showing the couple dancing before Brown moved into Bongiovi’s arms and kissed him.
The moments appear to have been captured at Villa Cetinale in Tuscany, Italy, where the couple held their wedding. Brown tagged the location in both slides of the Instagram post.
Couple welcome second child
The anniversary comes just days after Brown and Bongiovi announced that they had welcomed their second child. The couple shared a photo of their baby boy’s hand on Instagram on September 17, announcing his arrival with a short message.
“Hi little guy!” they wrote.
Brown also celebrated becoming a mother again by wearing an Isa Grutman ring with the word “Mom”. The arrival of their son came more than a year after the couple adopted their first child, a baby girl, in 2025.
Brown previously spoke about expanding her family
The couple’s announcement came about three months after Brown spoke about her hopes of expanding her family. During an interview, the actress reflected on becoming a mother and explained how having her daughter had changed her life.
Brown also spoke about the possibility of having a child through pregnancy in the future, while making it clear that adoption had always been part of her plans.
“Hopefully one day that’s in my future. But for me, adoption was always a part of my future. Adoption is love. Adoption is forever,” Brown said.
Adoption was a childhood dream
Brown has previously described adoption as a childhood dream and said she took time to understand the process before she and Bongiovi began their own journey. The actress said her social work studies also helped her understand different parts of adoption, including the experiences of birth mothers.
“The aspect of adoption in my social work courses was everything and so, so meaningful and important,” Brown said.
She explained that she and Bongiovi spent time learning about the process and considering what adoption would mean for their family before moving forward. “So for me, my husband and I took a lot of time to focus on what that story and what that journey looks like, and then we embarked on it,” she said.
