Esther Musila showers daughter-in-law Bakhita with love on birthday

Esther Musila, wife of gospel musician Guardian Angel, has celebrated her daughter-in-law Bakhita on her birthday, describing her as someone who feels more like a daughter.
Musila shared a heartfelt birthday message on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, for Bakhita, whom she affectionately referred to as her “daughter-in-love”, while expressing gratitude for the role she plays in the family.
“Bakhita, you are a daughter-in-love who feels more like a daughter; a daughter in my heart, and your presence is a true gift to my family,” Musila wrote.
The message highlighted the close bond between the two, with Musila going beyond the traditional description of a daughter-in-law to emphasise the personal connection they share.
‘A daughter in my heart’
Musila also wished Bakhita a wonderful birthday, describing her as someone whose presence brings warmth to the family.
She prayed for her daughter-in-law to have a peaceful and happy year ahead, while wishing her joy in the simple moments of life.
“I wish and pray to God for a wonderful year ahead filled with peace and happiness. May your days be peaceful and your heart always find joy in life’s simple moments,” she added.
The birthday message was accompanied by warm wishes as Musila encouraged Bakhita to enjoy her special day.
“Enjoy your day my child. I love you,” she wrote.
Celebrating daughter
In a heartfelt birthday message shared on Instagram, Musila reflected on watching her daughter grow from a baby into a grown woman, while noting that she would always see her as her little girl.
“Maua, I look at you, and I don’t see the passage of time. 32 years ago, I was blessed with the most gorgeous baby girl. I may not be able to carry you in my arms anymore, but I will always carry you in my heart,” she wrote at the time.
Musila also said she was proud of her daughter’s achievements and thanked God for her journey.
“I will try to respect that you’re a grown lady now, but you will always be my little girl. Today, you celebrate your birthday, and I am proud of your small and big achievements, and we thank God for it,” she added.
Her daughter responded to the birthday tribute by thanking her mother and expressing her love for her.
“Thank you mum, I love you,” Gilda wrote in the comment section.
The January birthday celebration came months before Musila turned her attention to Bakhita, once again publicly expressing her affection for a member of her family.
