Willy Tuva issues update after Kizo B’s release by Shanzu Law Courts

Media personality Mzazi Willy Tuva has issued an update following the release of singer Kizo B.
In a post on Instagram on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, Tuva announced that Kizo’s case had officially been closed and expressed gratitude to all Kenyans who had rallied behind the singer to facilitate his release and contribute to his recent appeal for assistance.
According to Tuva, Kizo B will be issuing a statement soon, shedding light on his ordeal to address the many questions from fans regarding the circumstances of his arrest.
“Case closed. A new chapter begins as Kizo B walks into freedom with hope, our guidance, and support. Brace yourselves—Kizo B is ready to reveal it all. What went wrong, his experience in prison, and what’s next. Stay tuned for the full story coming soon on Mseto East Africa YouTube.”
Kizo B’s arrest
The singer was first seen in a video on Instagram on March 11, 2025, while at the Shanzu Law Courts, pleading for support after his arrest.
The distressing footage showed the ‘Ulinibeep’ crooner defending himself, insisting that the accusations against him were fabricated.
He urged those in a position to help him secure the required bond for his release.
“To all my fans, I ask for your support as you watch this video. I am currently in the Shanzu police cell in Shimo la Tewa, facing a case based on false accusations. I have pleaded not guilty and need to secure my release on bond. Please, I sincerely appeal to you for help. I need your support,” he shared at the time.

Additionally, Kizo B stated that he had been arrested on counts of threatening someone with a machete, a claim he vehemently denied.
He explained that his situation was part of a broader pattern in the region, where individuals were frequently arrested over land disputes that were never resolved legally.
“I have been falsely accused of threatening someone’s life with a machete. I didn’t threaten anyone. These lands in Mombasa have no title deeds, and you can’t be sued over them, even if disputes arise,” he stated, urging fans and well-wishers to support him in seeking justice.
His plea came merely two weeks after he had made a similar appeal on his YouTube channel, where he requested support to return to the studio and resume making music.
He revealed that his inability to release new music was due to financial constraints and assured fans that, with the right support, he would get back on his feet and deliver hits once more.
“I’m kind of stuck—that’s why I’m not producing any new songs. I love music, and I wish to sing more,” he said.
Bahati to help Kizo B
Following his release, EMB Records founder and singer Kelvin Bahati also extended a helping hand to Kizo B.
In response to Willy Tuva’s Instagram post, Bahati moved Kenyans by offering his support, stating that he had been following Kizo B’s recent struggles and was willing to collaborate with him to help him get back on track.
The ‘Mama’ hitmaker further expressed his eagerness to have Kizo B in the studio as soon as possible, acknowledging his talent and affirming that, with the right support, he could easily reclaim his position in the music industry.
“Mzazi, bring him to the studio—I’ll give him a collaboration so he can get back in the game,” Bahati shared.
