DJ who collaborated with Betty Bayo shares glimpse of song she was preparing to release

Popular Kameme FM gospel and music mix master, DJ Jey254, has given Betty Bayo’s fans a sneak peek of a track she had been working on, which she had intended to release before her untimely passing on Monday, November 10, 2025.
In a video shared on Facebook on the same day, DJ Jey expressed his sorrow over Betty’s death and explained that he was sharing the snippet of the song as a tribute to her legacy.
“This is the song that Betty Bayo was set to release next. May her soul rest in peace,” he wrote, adding praying hands and dove emojis.

The Kikuyu track opens with a harmonious beat that runs for nearly 50 seconds before Betty’s vocals enter, setting a soulful and reflective tone.
In the song, she narrates the biblical story of Pharaoh and his refusal to release the Israelites, highlighting God’s intervention through Moses.
The theme of liberation allows Betty to build a soaring chorus, her vocals embodying Moses as she calls for release, weaving the spiritual essence of freedom into every note.
“Pharaoh, Pharaoh, I have come. I am Moses. I have come to take the food you usually give out. I have been sent by God, the God of Israel. He is not begging here; you must release His people to go. They must go; release God’s people to serve Him,” the Kikuyu song’s lyrics roughly translate into English.
