Museveni’s daughter gets full-page newspaper ad from Uganda Revenue Authority for becoming bishop

In a rare public gesture, the Uganda Revenue Authority has dedicated a full-page newspaper advertisement to congratulate President Yoweri Museveni’s daughter, Pastor Patience Rwabwogo, following her consecration as a Bishop.
The advert appeared in one of Uganda’s daily newspapers on Sunday, August 23, 2026, the same day as her consecration, with the tax authority using the page to celebrate Rwabwogo’s elevation to the episcopal office.
Unlike a typical public institution congratulatory message, the authority went further by taking out a full-page advert dedicated to celebrating Rwabwogo’s new position, highlighting her faith, leadership and 20 years of service in ministry.
Celebrating her ministry
The advert, signed by the management and staff of the Uganda Revenue Authority, carried the headline “Congratulations Pastor Patience on Your Episcopal Consecration.”
URA described Rwabwogo’s elevation as a significant milestone and praised her commitment to Christian ministry.
“Your elevation to this sacred office is a testament to your unwavering faith, exemplary servant leadership, and steadfast commitment to advancing the Kingdom of God,” the authority said.

URA also praised what it described as the impact of Rwabwogo’s ministry in transforming lives, nurturing communities and inspiring hope.
“We celebrate this well-deserved milestone and honour the profound impact of your ministry in transforming lives, nurturing communities, and inspiring hope,” the message stated.
The authority wished Rwabwogo wisdom, strength, grace and good health as she takes on her new responsibilities as a Bishop.
Family marks milestone
Rwabwogo was consecrated as a Bishop of Covenant Nations Churches in Uganda after 20 years in ministry.
Her parents, President Museveni and First Lady Janet Museveni, attended the ceremony alongside other members of the family.
In a post on Sunday, August 23, 2026, Museveni celebrated the milestone, saying he and his wife were happy to witness their daughter’s consecration.

“Today, Maama and I were very happy to witness the consecration of our daughter, Patience, as a Bishop of Covenant Nations Churches in Uganda after 20 years of ministry,” Museveni said.
The President also thanked God for his wife’s recovery and acknowledged their children Muhoozi, Natasha, Patience and Diana for standing with her.
“I thank God for Maama’s recovery and salute the medical staff, as well as our children, Muhoozi, Natasha, Patience and Diana, who stood with her throughout,” he said.
