Betty Bayo’s last social media post and her emotional prayer to God

Before her passing on Monday, November 10, 2025, gospel singer Betty Bayo had posted on Facebook on Sunday, November 9, 2025, what appeared to be a personal prayer to God.
In the post, which she shared along with a photo of herself in a long gown, the ‘11th Hour’ hitmaker reflected on her faith, saying she could do all things through Christ, a message of strength she shared while still in her hospital bed.
“I can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens me,” Betty wrote.

The day before, on Saturday, November 8, 2025, Betty had posted several updates to engage her followers.
Early in the morning, she asked her fans if they had woken up well, demonstrating her usual interactive and caring approach.
Later that day, she posted a photo of herself in a black and white kitenge outfit and encouraged her followers to comment on her look if they found it stylish.
“Say something about my look today,” she wrote.
On the same day, she shared a personal moment with her husband, Hiram Gitau, posting a photo of them outside a field.
She leaned her shoulder on him while he wore sunglasses, and both were dressed in black.
She then invited her fans to like the photo if they found it appealing.
“Niko na bazu apa…kama imeweza gonga like,” Betty wrote.
Also on November 8, 2025, Betty made an emotional post that reflected her spiritual outlook.
She asked her followers to acknowledge God’s mercy and the many chances He gives people to live.
She also encouraged those who agreed with her sentiment to comment “Amen” on the post.
“Andu a ngai mwokira atia…good morning…if you believe that He is a God of many chances…type an Amen…may you be blessed,” Betty wrote.

Cancer battle
Betty had been battling acute leukaemia and died due to complications from excessive bleeding.
She was first admitted to AAR Hospital on Kiambu Road before being transferred to Kenyatta National Hospital’s private wing on Friday, November 7, 2025.
Speaking at Kenyatta National Hospital on Monday, November 10, 2025, a family representative standing alongside Betty’s husband, Hiram Gitau, her ex-husband, Pastor Victor Kanyari, and other close family members, confirmed the singer’s passing at 1:03 pm.
The representative explained that Betty had been unwell since the previous week and that despite the doctors’ best efforts, her condition could not be reversed.
“We are here at Kenyatta National Hospital’s private wing. The spouse, the father of their children, and friends of Betty Bayo want to inform the public that today at 1:03 pm, we have lost Betty, and it is no longer a rumour,” the representative said.
The representative indicated that arrangements were in progress to move her body to Kenyatta University Referral Hospital, and that further communications regarding memorials and funeral plans would be shared in due course.
“Betty had been unwell since last week, suffering from acute leukaemia and excessive bleeding. She was first taken to AAR Hospital on Kiambu Road before being transferred here on Friday. The doctors did their best, but the will of God has been fulfilled. We are planning to move her body to Kenyatta University Referral Hospital, and all communications will follow,” the representative added.
Present at the announcement, both Hiram Gitau and Pastor Victor Kanyari were visibly emotional as they supported one another and other family members, marking the gravity of the loss for Betty Bayo’s loved ones.
