2 Mbili pens moving Mother’s Day message to his mum who died 25 years ago

Kenyan YouTuber and car reviewer 2 Mbili left fans emotional on Sunday, May 11, 2025, after sharing a deeply touching Mother’s Day tribute to his late mother, who passed away 25 years ago.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, the YouTuber opened up about the enduring pain of losing his mum, paying homage to the woman he described as his first and true love.
In the post, 2 Mbili laid bare his raw emotion, revealing that he feels every single day as though she passed just the other day, and insisted that the heartbreak of her loss has lingered with him unshaken for nearly 25 years.
“25 years without you, and I still feel the pain like it happened yesterday!!” he began.
“Missing you so much, my first & true love! Mama Otis! Nyaboro! Nyar Onyango! Connie! Adhiambo! Adhis! All the titles you had!”

2 Mbili went on to express his ongoing admiration for the woman who raised him and his brothers, revealing that even the youngest of her four sons, just a year old when she died, had now grown into a man.
“Your 4 sons have really grown to men including your 1-year-old son you left,” he wrote, highlighting the impact of her absence across the decades.
The YouTuber also revealed a touching connection between his mother and his own daughter, Adhis, who shares a name with one of his mother’s many affectionate titles.
“I wish you were here today to help me celebrate your granddaughter Adhis (Flower )’s birthday! She is exactly what you were!” he said, adding that he feels his mother’s excess love daily through his daughter.
Ending the tribute on a poignant note, 2 Mbili admitted he wished his mother could read his message—though he believes someone else must be reading it on her behalf.
He also sent a heartfelt prayer for her soul, expressing hope that she continues to find serenity and eternal calm, and confessed that, despite her untimely departure all those years ago, he still feels the comforting presence of a mother in his life.
“Keep resting mum 🕊️ I wish you could read this but alas someone else is reading it 🥹!” he concluded, followed by the hashtag #HappyMothersDay.
The post quickly drew hundreds of comments from fans and fellow creators, many praising 2 Mbili for his vulnerability and the deep bond he clearly still holds with his late mother while others said that they never knew that his mum had died.
Mulamwah’s Mother’s Day
Alongside 2 Mbili, comedian Mulamwah also celebrated the special day but not in the usual way many had expected.
This is after he publicly celebrated his ex and second baby mama, Carol Muthoni Sonnie, on Mother’s Day while completely ignoring his most recent partner, Ruth K.
In a warm Instagram post shared on the evening of Sunday, May 11, 2025, Mulamwah shared a photo of Carol Sonnie holding their daughter, Keilah Oyando, alongside the caption: “Happy Mother’s Day, Mama Keilah.”

He also posted a separate photo of their daughter, clearly recognising Sonnie’s role as a mother.
The post came just weeks after Mulamwah announced his breakup with Ruth K, the woman he had introduced as his new girlfriend following his split with Sonnie.
The breakup, which he made public online, marked the end of their short-lived relationship, during which they welcomed a child together.
The Mother’s Day post has since sparked speculation among fans about where Mulamwah stands.
