Kenyan comedian 2mbili has appealed for financial help from Kenyans to buy his dream car, BMW X4 worth Ksh7 million, for his birthday.
The comedian owns a BMW 3 series 320d which is barely a year old.
He mentioned that currently, he won’t be able to raise the amount of money required in time for his birthday, which is just a week away.
“10th January is 31st birthday!!! BMW X4 is the only I want. I cannot afford it by next week… but with your support, we can. It is only Sh. 7 million,” 2mbili wrote.
In July 2023, the comedian proudly acquired a BMW 3 Series 320d, complete with a personalized license plate bearing the inscription “Tapoc 22.”
Sharing his excitement with fans, he posted a video showcasing himself behind the wheel of the sleek silver vehicle.
“God did! Last night we sold out #whoslaughingnow and for the hard work this month I decided to award myself another ride of my class. A German machine for the African prince of comedy. To more wins Tapoc 22,” he wrote
2mbili homeless, sleeping in his car
On September 3, 2023, 2mbili took to Instagram to share the challenges he had been facing over the past two months.
The comedian revealed that despite putting on a facade of well-being, he had been silently battling difficulties.
He opened up about the reality of his situation, confessing that he had been spending nights either in his luxury German car, hotels, or relying on the hospitality of friends.
“It’s Fine,Not To Be Fine!! The Past 2 months Have Not Been Easy … Just keeping My Cool & pretend All is Fine! Maybe Someday I will make you understand Why for the past few months I have been spending the nights in the cold streets, sleeping in my cars, hotels, friends’ places etc

2Mbili came out to clarify his financial status after it was reported that he was broke and homeless following his confession that he had been living in his car.
During an Instagram Q&A session on October 2, 2023, the car enthusiast shared that he’s been without a permanent residence for the last three months. However, he assured his fans not to feel sorry for him, emphasizing that he comfortably sleeps in his BMW.
“Si utupee house tour (give us a house tour),” A fan asked 2Mbili.
“I am currently 3 months homeless!! Nalalanga kwenye usingizi imenipata!! Usinihurumie, niko na BMW, it’s my very personal space,” 2Mbili replied.
The comedian later came out to clarify that he was only homeless and not broke after it was reported that he didn’t have shelter or money.
“Homeless not broke,” 2Mbili clarified.
