Tr Cillah calls out Tigania West MP after witnessing state of classrooms at Gakii Renee’s school

Westlands Primary School popular educator Teacher Cillah has called out Tigania West MP after witnessing the poor state of classrooms at fellow teacher Gakii Renee’s school in Meru County.
The classrooms were housed in mabati structures, with the metal sheets appearing weathered, while pupils shared long wooden desks instead of having individual desks for each learner.
The classrooms also appeared to have bare concrete floors, with the learning spaces sitting directly on the ground and offering limited separation between adjoining classes.
Cillah appeared taken aback by what she encountered during the tour, drawing attention to the condition of the classrooms and questioning whether Constituency Development Fund (CDF) resources had reached the school.
“Tigania West MP. What’s up? Do you mean CDF money never gets here?” she wrote while sharing the video.
The video then captured a warm moment between the two teachers as Gakii took Cillah around the school before showing her the classrooms where the learners spend their school days.
During the tour, Gakii explained some of the challenges within the classroom, including how pupils store their belongings.
“This is where our learners sit, and these nails you see here are where they hang their bags,” Gakii said as she showed Cillah around the classroom.
The condition of the mabati structure was also evident, with holes visible on some sections of the metal sheets separating the classrooms.
Cillah subsequently pointed out the gaps and raised concerns about the lack of privacy between the learning spaces.
“And that hole I am seeing on the mabati, that means those in the next class can peep and see what’s happening in your class,” she said.
The popular educator then shifted her focus towards possible solutions, calling on well-wishers to come forward and support the school in improving its learning facilities.
“If we have well-wishers who can help us build more decent classes for this school? We can do this. Join me; just come, at least we’ll build something for Grade One and Two,” Cillah said.
