Geoffrey Mosiria rescues hit-and-run victim found stranded on Nairobi streets

Geoffrey Mosiria has appealed to the public to help trace the family of a man he rescued from the streets of Nairobi after he was involved in a hit-and-run accident. In a post shared on Sunday, September 27, 2026, Mosiria said he found the man in town past midnight and was moved by his condition.
Mosiria finds injured man
According to Mosiria, the man had been knocked down in a hit-and-run and was in a bad condition, leaving him unable to walk.
“It’s painful. I have just rescued him from the streets of Nairobi past midnight and taken him to Mbagathi Hospital. He was involved in a hit-and-run road accident and is currently unable to walk,” Mosiria said.
In a voice message accompanying his appeal, Mosiria explained that he came across the man while he was in town and realised that he needed urgent assistance.
He said he decided to intervene and take him to hospital rather than leave him stranded on the streets, where he appeared to have no one immediately available to assist him.
Appeals for family
Mosiria said one of his biggest concerns was finding the man’s relatives, as it was unclear whether his family knew what had happened to him.
He asked anyone who recognises the man or has information about his family to come forward and help reconnect him with his loved ones.
Mosiria also said the circumstances were worrying because the man appeared to have been left without anyone to take care of him after the accident.
‘Not for pity purposes’
Explaining why he decided to share the man’s story publicly, Mosiria said his appeal was not about seeking sympathy for the injured man.
“The reason why I am raising his story on my TikTok and Facebook is not for pity purposes. I want anyone who knows him to hear about it so we can find his people,” he said.
His appeal is now aimed at helping establish the man’s identity and locating his family or relatives who may be unaware of his situation.
Mosiria urged members of the public with any information about the man to reach out, as efforts continue to ensure he receives care and is reunited with his family.
