In a gripping revelation following a car accident on Sunday, September 22, 2024, activist Morara Kebaso shared his fears about a potential conspiracy against him.
Kebaso detailed how he swiftly exited the scene of the accident in a different vehicle, expressing concerns that such incidents can sometimes be orchestrated to create chaos and obscure darker intentions.
“Yesterday after the accident I disappeared very fast from the scene in another car because sometimes accidents are used to cause confusion so that the real thing can happen. I don’t want to blame anyone without evidence but now I know I am on a clock,” Kebaso said in a post on X.
He cited a range of adversaries, including government officials he has publicly challenged, members of the opposition who feel threatened by his political presence, and tribal leaders worried his message might undermine their influence.
He also mentioned presidential candidates who perceive him as competition and contractors who have disappeared after receiving payments.
“I have too many enemies to start guessing who can do it. The government officials that we have exposed, the opposition that feels we are taking their space, rising tribal chiefs that feel like our message might dilute their influence, presidential candidates who think I will run against them, contractors who have been paid money and disappeared, sympathizers of the corrupt. The list is endless,” he remarked.
The activist-cum-lawyer indicated that he plans to increase his security detail and will avoid late-night meetings to safeguard his safety.
“I will definitely review my security detail upwards. And I will avoid meetings that spill over into the night. I am grateful to be alive. And I believe it’s for a reason but also for a season because one day I will still die,” he noted in the post.
Stalled projects
Kebaso’s convoy was involved in an accident while returning from Embu County on a tour to expose stalled government projects.
The incident occurred between 7 pm and 8 pm.
Taking to his X handle, Kebaso shared that the crash was a side collision caused by a drunk driver who hit his vehicle as he was speeding off.
“The tires of the Prado I was traveling in all burst and airbags were deployed, which prevented injuries,” he stated. Earlier, Kebaso had attended a service at Chuka University Christian Union, where he spoke about the need for students to stand up for their country.
