Kenya Power issued a notice informing Kenyans of power interruptions on Saturday, November 4, 2023, in select parts of eight counties.
The counties affected include Nairobi, Trans Nzoia, Bungoma, Kisumu, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Meru and Kiambu.
The utility firm, in a statement, said there would be a scheduled outage from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the larger Joska area of Nairobi county.
Kenya Power said Amagoro, Endebes and Saboti areas of Trans Nzoia County will experience power outage from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Tongaren and Soysambu areas of Bungoma county will experience a power outage from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. while Ombeyi and Kasong areas of Kisumu county will be in blackout from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
In Nyeri county, Githungungu and Kahero areas will be hit by a nine-hour blackout, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m.
Githure and Gatitu areas of Kirinyaga county and Muthatari and Rupingazi areas of Meru county will be without power from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
In Kiambu County, Red Hill, St. Paul’s University, Nyaga and Kiambururu areas will be in blackout from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
