Kayole man falls from apartment’s 4th floor, dies

Police in Kayole are investigating the death of a 27-year-old man who fell to his death from the fourth floor of his apartment.

The deceased identified as John Otieno is reported to have gone home drunk on Saturday, July 30, and at the time, his wife was asleep.

He then went outside and fell off making a loud bang. He fell to the ground floor where he was found dead with blood oozing from his head, mouth nose, and ears.

“While in a drunk state, he proceeded to his house on the fourth floor of where he was living. The wife was already asleep. He went outside and the neighbours heard a loud bang,” the police report read in part.

“They found him lying dead on the ground floor and blood oozing from the head, mouth nose, and ears,” the report added.

The body was taken to Mama Lucy’s hospital mortuary waiting for an autopsy.

Burundian falls from 5th floor

In another incident in Mihang’o, police officers launched investigations into the death of a Burundian who fell from the fifth floor of a building under construction.

The deceased who was a mason at the site is reported to have been busy at the site with his work when a stone from the rooftop of the building fell and hit him leading to his fall.

He was pronounced dead on arrival at the local hospital.

38-year-old found dead at the staircase

And in the third incident, officers are investigating the death of a 38-year-old man who is alleged to have fallen from the staircase of his house and died in Spring Valley Nairobi.

The deceased Julius Murigi was found dead during the weekend on the staircase of the first floor of his apartment.

The police are yet to identify if Murigi was pushed or fell accidentally before dying.

The body was moved to the morgue awaiting a postmortem.
