Hosts Bandari FC failed to capitalise on home advantage in the Kwale County Stadium, battling to a barren draw against Mara Sugar FC on Saturday, March 14, 2026.

The clash at Coastal County Stadium with the visiting team taking a maiden air flight in the club’s history, and somehow managed to avoid a defeat with a point earned on the road.

Bernard Mwalala’s team hoped to snap a recent run of no wins in two games and thought to have hit the front moment after the break when Abdalla Hassan broke the deadlock.

The fit-again former Harambee Stars ace was, however, flagged down for offside to the bemusement of the home crowds.

The two rivals approached the clash on contrasting fortunes.

Bandari came to the clash off a couple of winless outcomes with a 2-0 slump away to Kenya Police, marring their recent streak.

Meanwhile, the visitors approached on a high of a 3-1 win over Sofapaka, but they had to make do without veteran coach Edward Manoah, who earlier in the week dumped the team for struggling Sofapaka.

In other encounters, APS Bomet and Bidco United settled for a share of spoils in a potentially decisive relegation encounter. Hansel Ochieng and Marvin Amuka scored the goals for each team.

Meanwhile, Sofapaka league woes extended further with Kevin Otiende’s second-half strike condemning Batoto Ba Mungu to an eight-consecutive-league defeat.

The league action will continue on Sunday, March 15, 2026, with Shabana, Muranga Seals, and Gor Mahia among those in action. Shabana will welcome Kariobangi Sharks for a 2:00 pm kickoff in Gusii Stadium.

Meanwhile, Seal will be out to banish a recent form of two losses and a single win as they cross enemy territory to face KCB at the Nyayo National Stadium starting at 3:00 pm.

The day’s pick fixture will pit log leaders Gor Mahia against Soldiers Ulinzi Stars at the Ulinzi Sports Complex.
