Police probe 2 separate apartment fall incidents in Kilimani and Kasarani

Police are investigating two separate apartment fall incidents in Nairobi that left two women with critical injuries.

The cases happened in Kasarani and Kilimani, with both victims admitted to hospital as investigations continue.

In the Kasarani case, a 25-year-old woman suffered severe spinal injuries after falling from the sixth floor of an apartment building in Thome Estate. She is currently admitted at Kenyatta National Hospital, where she is awaiting critical spinal surgery.

Police said the circumstances surrounding the fall are still under investigation. Detectives at Kasarani Police Station said it is not yet clear how the woman fell from the apartment, and no arrests have been made.

“It began as a night out and ended with a girl falling. The victim said there was an argument before she fell,” the victim’s family told a local TV station on Monday, July 6, 2026.

The woman’s family believes there may have been foul play. They said the incident followed a domestic altercation and want investigators to establish exactly what happened before the fall.

Investigations continue in both cases

“Walikua wanalewa, they started in a liquor shop then wakaenda kwa nyumba. Then they got into an argument, alimgonga na chupa aka bleed. Akiwa kwa balcony we don’t know what transpired there,” the victim’s family said.

According to investigators, the exact events leading to the fall remain unclear. Police confirmed that no suspect has been arrested as detectives continue gathering information about the incident.

Meanwhile, police are also investigating another apartment fall involving a 26-year-old woman in Kilimani. The incident happened at an apartment building along Dennis Pritt Road.

The woman reportedly fell from the third floor and suffered critical injuries. She was rushed to a Nairobi hospital, where she remains in the intensive care unit as doctors continue to fight for her life.

The two incidents happened separately but have both attracted police attention because of the serious injuries suffered by the victims. Investigators are working to establish the circumstances surrounding each case before making further conclusions.

Both families are waiting for answers as police continue with their investigations. Authorities have not linked the two incidents, and inquiries into the Kasarani and Kilimani apartment falls remain ongoing as the two women continue receiving treatment in hospital.
