Jaymo Ule Msee attends Ruto’s State House event day after making political comeback
Comedian and content creator Wilson Muirani Gathoni, popularly known as Jaymo Ule Msee, has attended a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) aspirants’ meeting just a day after announcing he would be vying for the Nairobi Senator seat in 2027.
Jaymo’s appearance at the meeting comes only days after he had claimed he was quitting politics.
The comedian was seen at the gathering on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, in the company of fellow comedian Jessy, as well as other UDA members who are eyeing various elective positions.
Dark forces
In a video shared on his Instagram on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, Jaymo said his earlier decision to withdraw was influenced by what he called dark forces working through elders who advised him to drop his political ambitions.
“I was attacked by dark forces in the form of elders who I now realise were not experts in politics. They gave advice based on their insecurities, not on constructive experience,” Jaymo said.

He claimed that although the elders are respected in society, they do not have political experience or a track record of helping their communities, meaning their advice was not the best for such a major decision.
“Before taking constructive criticism, one should ask: what has this person constructed? If they have never built anything or served effectively, their advice cannot guide you,” Jaymo said.
Jaymo added that his education and background in political science, as well as his involvement in three presidential campaigns, have prepared him to serve Nairobians.

“I went to school to study political science, I have practised politics before, and my ambition to serve Nairobi is grounded in experience and preparation,” he said.
He also said he has been inspired by past leaders, pointing out that President William Ruto made it despite facing resistance and criticism, including from elders.
“Many were told they could not succeed, yet they persisted. I have learned that respecting elders does not mean following advice blindly,” he added.
Jaymo said his decision to return to politics is based on deep thinking, spiritual clarity, and his desire to work for Nairobi residents.
He also noted that going forward, he will only take advice from people who have real knowledge and experience in the areas they speak about. He assured his supporters that he is serious about his political journey and wants to make a real difference in the city.
