Kenyan comedian David Oyando, widely known as Mulamwah, has responded to viral claims circulating on social media accusing him of simping on another man’s girlfriend via direct messages.

The claims began after an X user claimed that Mulamwah had been engaging in inappropriate conversations with their partner, sparking heated discussions online. The post quickly gained traction, with some users mocking the comedian while others questioned the authenticity of the claims.

Nimepata huyu boiz anasimp kwa DM ya manzi yangu, anadhani kukuwa famous ni kila kitu,” Mr Elevated wrote.

However, Mulamwah, taking to his official Instagram account on Thursday, May 21, 2026, dismissed the accusations, insisting that the viral DM shared online was edited and misleading.

Ni mbaya . Hio DM ya “number maybe” wame edit, Mulamwa said.

He further clarified that the messages being circulated were not genuine and had been manipulated to fit a false narrative, adding that he is handsome and does not chase ladies, as they are the ones who go after him.

That’s not my handwriting . Halafu mimi kama cute boy sikatianangi, nakatiwa,” he added.

Mulamwah’s social media return

This comes after Mulamwah broke his silence following a mysterious four-day digital disappearance that saw him wipe his Instagram and TikTok accounts completely clean.

The comedian sent shockwaves through his millions of followers on April 23, 2026, when his profiles suddenly became “ghost towns,” with every photo, video, and memory deleted without explanation.

However, on Monday, April 27, the star made his first cautious return to the digital world, posting a simple, one-word message on Facebook alongside a new photo of himself: “helo 🤭”.

This “social media blackout” is a tactic Mulamwah has used before to signal major life shifts or to build anticipation for upcoming projects.

Mulamwah’s online dramas

Mulamwah has recently been embroiled in intense online drama with his ex-partner, Ruth K, which included allegations of leaked private photos and public apologies.

He recently told fans to “mind their own business” after he deleted photos of a rumored new flame, Emiliana, leading some to believe the total wipe was an attempt to protect his private life from further scrutiny.

While his Instagram and TikTok remain hauntingly empty, his Facebook followers – who were spared from the mass deletion – have been debating his return.
