Ugandan boxer and businessman Shakib Cham Lutaaya has responded to Kenyan musician Ali Yusuf, widely known as Arrow Bwoy‘s, request for a rematch following their highly publicised bout at the Vurugu 2 celebrity boxing event in Nairobi.

Arrow Bwoy, on Monday, June 22, 2026, called for a second showdown, proposing that the rematch be held in Kampala, Uganda.

In his appeal, the Kenyan singer acknowledged Shakib’s victory in their first encounter but argued that fans deserved another fight with both men fully prepared.

“Respect to Shakib for the victory in our first encounter. He was the better man on the night. But I believe the fans deserve to see this rivalry settled with both fighters fully prepared and at their best,” Arrow Bwoy said while officially requesting a rematch.

Responding to the proposal, Shakib, in a statement shared on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, appeared unbothered by the challenge, questioning who exactly was seeking a second fight in Kampala.

The Ugandan businessman also urged fans to revisit the pair’s previous encounter by sharing a link to the Vurugu 2 fight and encouraging them to watch the full technical knockout.

“Who wants a rematch in Kampala?” he posed, signalling that he had taken note of Arrow Bwoy’s request.

The two entertainers have built a fierce cross-border rivalry over the past year, with their feud eventually culminating in a boxing match at the Vurugu 2 event held at the Sarit Expo Centre in Nairobi.

During the contest, Shakib secured a technical knockout victory over Arrow Bwoy, capping off months of online exchanges and pre-fight bravado. The win was seen as a major statement for the Ugandan, who had entered the ring determined to silence his critics and prove himself on Kenyan soil.

Despite the loss, Arrow Bwoy maintained that the rivalry is far from over. He revealed that he had undergone only 20 days of training before the fight and believes a rematch would provide a fairer assessment of both fighters’ abilities.

The singer further suggested that staging the rematch in Kampala would give Ugandan fans an opportunity to witness the contest live while adding another chapter to the growing Kenya-Uganda celebrity boxing rivalry.

Whether Shakib accepts the challenge remains unclear, but Arrow Bwoy’s proposal has already sparked excitement among fans eager to see the two settle their score once again in the ring.
