Muthoni Babytop thankful as Catholic priest visits her home to pray with her
Popular Kameme FM presenter Muthoni Babytop has shared a message of gratitude after receiving a visit from a Catholic priest at her home, days after she found herself at the centre of public attention following the tragic drowning of young Angel Theo Kiragu.
Taking to her Facebook page on Thursday, June 25, 2026, the radio presenter thanked Rev. Fr Francis Mùrira for taking the time to visit her and offer spiritual encouragement during what appears to be a difficult season in her life.
In her message, Babytop expressed appreciation for the priest’s visit, revealing that he had not only spent time with her but had also delivered a sermon and prayed with her.
“Thank you so much, Rev. Fr Francis Mùrira, for visiting me this afternoon. I’m deeply grateful for your powerful sermon and prayers. God bless you abundantly,” she wrote.
The presenter accompanied the message with a Bible verse from the book of Numbers, quoting the well-known blessing.
“The Lord bless you and keep you,” he wrote.

Babytop’s post comes just days after she received public support from family members and religious leaders following the death of Angel Theo Kiragu, the son of Gatundu South NG-CDF chair Peter Kinyita.
Theo tragically drowned during a family gathering at the Wakirumba family home, an incident that sparked widespread discussion online and led to criticism directed at Babytop from some quarters.
The grieving mother revealed that she was present during the incident and explained that Theo’s father was the one who pulled the child from the water.
She also disclosed that Babytop had been the first person to see Theo on the day of the incident and, tragically, the last person to see him before events took a devastating turn.
The mother further emphasised that the gathering was a family visit and not a leisure outing as some people had assumed.
Wa Ngunjiri condemned what she described as attempts by some individuals to bring the Kameme FM presenter down and insisted that Babytop should not be unfairly blamed for the heartbreaking loss.
The evangelist also disclosed that she had been in close contact with Babytop throughout the difficult period and described herself as one of the few people capable of calming the presenter whenever she became emotionally overwhelmed.
