Evangelist Wa Ngunjiri defends Babytop in emotional speech, warns haters she won’t fall

Prayers Beyond Boundaries (PBB) founder Evangelist Lucy Wa Ngunjiri has strongly defended popular Kameme FM presenter Muthoni Babytop following criticism directed at her after the tragic drowning death of young Angel Theo Kiragu, the son of Gatundu South CDF chair Peter Kinyita.
Speaking during Theo’s burial on Friday, June 19, 2026, Wa Ngunjiri delivered an emotional address in which she expressed her support for Babytop while condemning what she described as attempts by some individuals to bring the radio presenter down following the tragedy.
While addressing mourners, Wa Ngunjiri began by speaking about her close relationship with Babytop, revealing that she understands the presenter on a deeply personal level and often helps her navigate difficult situations.
According to the evangelist, Babytop is not easy to calm when she is emotionally overwhelmed, but she considers herself one of the few people who can successfully talk to her and help her find peace during difficult moments.
“This girl, I am the only one who triggers her in our whole company. I am always able to speak with her and soothe her down,” Wa Ngunjiri told mourners.

Wa Ngunjiri said Itumbi’s decision to be present during such a painful moment had deeply touched the family and everyone gathered at the funeral.
According to the evangelist, his attendance had helped challenge a narrative that had been circulating among some people who believed powerful individuals or government-linked forces were behind the criticism being directed at Babytop.
“With all humility, I want to say to Itumbi, coming to this sad ceremony today, you have really touched us. And that has confirmed that it is not the government which is trying to bring Babytop down because people thought it was the government,” she said.
Wa Ngunjiri claimed that from what she had observed, the attacks against Babytop were instead being driven by individuals with ill intentions.
She suggested that there were people actively seeking to damage the radio presenter’s reputation and image at a time when she was already struggling to come to terms with a devastating loss.
“They are planning evil to bring this woman down,” she stated.
The evangelist used the funeral platform to publicly reject what she described as efforts to destroy Babytop, insisting that the presenter would overcome the difficult season she was facing.
Wangunjiri further declared that she believed God would protect Babytop from those wishing her harm.
“But as an evangelist, I want to say that this one will never fall in the name of Jesus,” she said.
The evangelist then shifted focus to Babytop’s relationships with prominent leaders and politicians, revealing that she had previously been curious about why many influential people appeared to have a close connection with the Kameme FM presenter.
Wangunjiri said she had personally asked Babytop what made senior political figures gravitate towards her.
According to her, Babytop had always maintained that many of the leaders associated with her were simply friends.
“I have been asking her what is this great thing is that you do that politicians, big ones, love you, and she tells me they are her friends. She is friends with Dennis Itumbi and MP Osoro,” Wangunjiri said.
