Mercy Masika celebrates 18 years of marriage with husband David Muguro

Gospel singer Mercy Masika and her husband, David Muguro, have celebrated 18 years of marriage, with the couple reflecting on their journey and thanking God for sustaining their union.
Masika shared a heartfelt message on Instagram on Sunday, August 30, 2026, as they marked the milestone, describing their years together as a testament to God’s faithfulness.
“Looking back, we are in awe of God’s faithfulness. It is only by His grace and mercy that we have made it this far,” Masika said.
The ‘Mwema’ hitmaker also thanked her husband for being a responsible and steadfast partner throughout their journey.
“David, thank you for being such a responsible and steadfast partner on this journey. I love you, and I am so grateful for you,” she added.
The couple, who have three children, have built their family life alongside their Christian faith and respective ministry journeys.
Husband’s tribute
Muguro also celebrated his wife in a separate anniversary post, describing her as the “queen of our family” and “the empress of the kingdom.”
He praised Masika for the joy she brings to their family and the role she has played in their service to God.

“She is awesome in our lives and has been an emblem of our service both to God and his people,” Muguro said.
He also expressed his love for Masika while thanking God for the journey they have shared.
