Gospel singer Mercy Masika has expressed joy and gratitude after her husband finally joined her and their family for walks, a moment she says she has been praying for and waiting for over several years.
Taking to Facebook on Thursday, May 14, 2026, Masika shared her excitement, saying she saw the moment as a testimony of God’s faithfulness and answered prayers in her family life.

She revealed that she had long encouraged her husband to participate in family walks, but it had taken many years before he eventually agreed to join them.
According to the singer, the breakthrough meant a lot to her, as it marked a new chapter in their family bonding and shared lifestyle activities.
“The Lord has done it for me. Finally got my hubby to come with us for walks. It’s been many years of pursuing him to do this,” she wrote.
Mercy Masika further reflected on cultural and personal differences, noting humourously that her husband had now joined what she described as their family walking routine after years of hesitation.
She added that she was thankful for the change, describing the moment as a victory and encouragement not to give up on prayers and persistence in relationships.
“You know, kambas were long-distance traders, and he joined us today. Hallelujah. Don’t give up, my sis, my bro,” she added.
Mother’s Day message
The warm family moments come hot on the heels of a touching Mother’s Day message she shared on the special day.
In the post, Mercy Masika paid tribute to her mother, describing her as a strong pillar in their lives and her number one supporter and prayer warrior.
She expressed appreciation for the values her mother instilled in the family, saying they continue to guide their lives and form a foundation they will never take for granted.
“Happy Mother’s Day. To my number one supporter and prayer warrior, we are blessed to have you, and I celebrate you today,” she wrote then.
The singer further described her mother as a “Proverbs 31 woman,” praising her for being strong, faithful and full of grace.
Mercy Masika thanked her mother for modelling motherhood in a beautiful way, noting that her impact has been deeply felt within the family.
“You have given us values that guide our lives and a foundation we will never take for granted. You are the real Proverbs 31 woman, strong, faithful, and full of grace. Thank you for being a pillar and for modelling motherhood so beautifully,” she added.
